Camp Virginia
Description
Camp Virginia is located in the Northern Region and is isolated from the rest of the world. It is very similar to Camp Buehring. This is the transit camp for soldiers coming back in from Iraq whose main focus is out-processing and returning home to their families. The majority of soldiers you would serve at Camp Virginia are those who need to tie up loose ends.
The Education Center has only one other employee. The working conditions need some getting used to as the Education Center itself is very small and often very few soldiers pass through. This leaves you time to get all your paperwork in order and all duties taken care of before the end of the day. If you are attending school, you often will have time to read a textbook or work on school assignments.
The housing conditions on Camp Virginia are similar to camping. Personnel are either placed in tents or in metal structured buildings. You could have up to four occupants in one room. Each room is set up with wall-lockers, two bunk beds, and a night stand. Any amenities that you would like to have in your billeting would have to be purchased on your own.
