Applied Management / Military Science
This program will prepare the student to enter the public or private sector in the area of supervision and management. The program provides the student with the conceptual and technical managerial skills to supervise or manage a business operation.
The Applied Management / Military Science degree program provides students with a detailed understanding of the leadership and management skills basic to success as a leader in the US military.
Who can benefit from the program:
The program is an asset to any military service member/family member/student interested in improving their management and supervisory skills for employment in the military or in the private sector.
What the program offers students:
- The Applied Management/Military Science program covers a wide range of core courses, designed to give the student a foundation in management, leadership, communications, supervision and business practices.
- Conceptual and technical managerial skills to supervise or manage a business operation.
- Detailed understanding of the leadership and management skills basic to success as a leader in the US military.
- There are also a number of elective courses which allow the student to tailor the degree plan to his or her own specific needs. Electives are particularly valuable for those students with significant credit from military training and schooling.
- One semester hour Leader Skill Enhancement Instruction (LSEI) courses may be used to fill electives for this program.

- An increasing number of jobs are available throughout the U.S and overseas.
- This program prepares the student to enter the public or private sector as a small unit manager or business operator.

Because of the large number of jobs available on business and government which require the conceptual and technical management skills provided by this degree program, employment can be found throughout the U.S. Furthermore, mid-level managers currently employed can benefit from the increased knowledge acquired and become more competitive when seeking advancement.

To provide soldiers with a general knowledge of the culture of the people who inhabit the Middle East. This course will provide a brief overview of the history and culture to include: government structure, politics, influence of nomadic tribes, religious influence, heritage, family roles, arts, education, business wealth, poverty, jobs, language, health and medicine. Food, drink, dress, etiquette, holidays, organizations, and media are also covered.
