Central Texas College offers a variety of language instruction to NATO and U.S. personnel and their dependents. A short overview of each is listed below. Headstart Program:
Headstart programs provide instruction in Host Nation Language (Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Arabic, Pashto, Dari), culture and customs to service members referred by commanders for such instruction. Courses are generally between 30-40 hours per week, and when possible, include a field trip in the local area to enforce skills learned.
Gateway to Italian Program:
The main objective of the Central Texas College Gateway to Italian language program is to foster good relations between International staff assigned to the Italian sites and the local community as well as offer quality language instruction at a reasonable cost.
English as a Second/Foreign Language:
Central Texas College offers a series of English courses for students who are not native english speakers.
Tutorial Language Program:
Tutorial lessons will be taught on a one on one basis, allowing each student to advance at their own pace.
