High School Completion Program

Programs Section

Overview

The High School Completion Program provides an opportunity for service members and other eligible clients to earn a high school diploma from the American Preparatory Institute (API).

API's high school curriculum is individualized and competency-based. While allowing students to progress at their own rates of learning, the courses focus on mastery of specific learning objectives for each subject. Student progress is measured by achievement of specific competencies in each course through satisfactory completion of module post-tests, midterms, and final examinations. API coursework is instructor monitored self-paced learning using either computer-based or pencil/paper course materials.

Registration for the High School Completion Program is accomplished at the Army Education Center after consultation with an Army Education Counselor.
